Privacy Policy

Who this covers

This policy covers khalilahmad.me, Khalil Ahmad's personal site. There's no account system, no newsletter signup, and nothing is sold to anyone — this page exists so it's clear exactly what does happen when you visit.

Analytics

The site uses PostHog for basic analytics — page views and clicks, so Khalil can see which parts of the site get used. Session recording is explicitly turned off in the code: no screen recordings, no keystroke capture.

Error tracking

Sentry is used to catch and log bugs (stack traces, the page you were on) if something breaks. It's there to fix problems, not to track visitors individually.

The AI chat widget

Anything you type into the chat widget is sent to Groq, a third-party AI inference provider, to generate a response. Don't paste anything sensitive into it — treat it like any other chat with a third-party AI service.

Booking a call

The "Book a call" button opens Cal.com's own scheduling widget. Whatever you enter there (name, email, time) goes directly to Cal.com, governed by Cal.com's own privacy policy, not collected by this site directly.

Local storage

A dark/light theme preference is saved in your browser's local storage, read back on your next visit. It never leaves your device.

Server logs

Like essentially any website, the hosting provider keeps standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for security and debugging, retained only briefly.
